Dear Brother
I wrote you few days ago but forgotten whether I mentioned about sending me pair of boots or not. However if I did two orders are better than none. Should like to have those shirts that Lt. Lester left at home as I see no chance of getting out of this Damn Service at the present time as old General Sherman is bound on keeping all the old troops he can and I suppose I must consign myself to the fate of all conscripts. But here after I will look out for number one at least where there is danger as I think I have done my duty and I don’t feel like myself since this last order has come out. It is causing grate dissatisfaction in the Army and I trust

will soon be revoked. Considerable of talk about the coming elections. Can’t tell much about it yet—how they will go. Little Mack has a grate many friends among the Eastern troops and same of the Western. It depend a grate (unintelligible) on the coming draft. The soldiers in the field wants help or want to see this war settled and the man that can do that is the grate man of the day for the army. I have not heard from you for some time. Perhaps your letters has gone through to the Regt.
Remember me to all my friends. Tell them I am conscripted into the army for 18 months longer.
Hoping to hear from you soon. I will close.
Ever your Brother
