Dear Brother
I wrote but a day or two ago but as Capt Burns leaves for Ohio tomorrow morning on special business for the Regt to gather up all the straglers and those that are detailed in hospitals. I have been quite unwell for a few days but am now feeling some better. The health of the company is as good as usually. I am still in the Q. M. Department but will try hard to get out now as the Capt is not here. I sent you a list of some clothing I wanted a few days ago and perhaps that will not reach you so I send the list by Capt and he will go to getting them to me as he is gowing to bring a hand trunk with him. I want one pair of calf boots made on the same measure that I had when I was at home. I want them full larger if any thing. Durible soles and good height in the legs and wide with a front piece running up neer the knee. I want them in good style. If you have not the right kind of workman in town get the measure and send it to Robt Glenn as I want to good job. J. Hallibaugh has my measure if he is doing business there yet.
